About this episode

It's Thanksgiving in America. According to data from IBA, an aviation market intelligence and advisory company, there has been a significant increase in North American air travel capacity over the 2024 Thanksgiving holiday compared to pre-pandemic levels. Scheduled seats to, from, and within North America from 28 November to 1 December 2024 have reached 13,838,608. This represents a 3% increase from 13,416,295 over the same period in 2023 and a 9% rise compared to the pre-pandemic total of 12,671,619 in 2019. According to IBA Insight, IBA’s data and analytics platform, airlines’ Available Seat Kilometres (ASKs) have risen by 3% year-on-year, increasing from 26,872 million last Thanksgiving to 27,778 million in 2024. Marie is not real, and Neil Peart* is a con man, passing off plastic shower curtain rings as priceless ivory, perpetuating the slaughter of the majestic Loxodonta africana and financing his nomadic lifestyle. *Correction
